Our Policies

At Move we want all of our students to feel safe and informed. You can reference all of our policies here and if any questions should arise, please contact us at info@moveyoga.ca

1. Bookings / Cancellations / No-Shows

   a. Memberships & passes are non-transferable & may not be shared.

   b. Classes & appointments can be booked online, through the studio's website, app, or in person. Move reserves the right to modify or cancel any class, workshop, event, or appointment.

   c. No Late entry. Doors are locked promptly at start time. Out of respect for the class, there is no late entry.

   d. Cancellations must be made at least 3 hours before the scheduled class or appointment to avoid penalties or fees.

   e. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the class credit or a fee as outlined: 1/5/10 class plans: You will lose that class on your plan. All other plans, there is a $10 late cancel/no-show fee.

 

WAITLIST 

 We strive to provide an efficient and fair waitlist system to accommodate as many clients as possible. Please take note of the following guidelines regarding our waitlist policy:

- Treat Waitlisted Classes as Confirmed Reservations: When you join the waitlist for a class, please consider yourself as already registered. Be prepared to attend with last-minute notice, as our waitlist tends to move swiftly, especially overnight.

- Responsibility to Remove Yourself from the Waitlist: If you find that you’re unable to make it to a class for any reason, we kindly request that you remove your name from the waitlist before you are moved into the class. You can easily manage your waitlist status through our mobile app.

- Ensure Notifications Settings are Updated: To avoid missing notifications about your waitlist status, please ensure that your app settings are updated to receive timely alerts.

- Regular Late Charges and No-Show Fees Apply: Once you are successfully moved from the waitlist and added to the class, our standard late charges and no-show fees will apply in case of tardiness or absence. We appreciate your cooperation in managing your schedule to avoid any penalties.

- Consideration for Others: Please be mindful of fellow clients who are also waiting for a spot in our classes. Your cooperation in adhering to our waitlist policy ensures fairness and consideration for all members.

 

2. Mindful Booking

Effective April 2nd, 2024 we will be implementing a policy to kindly ask that members try to limit booking same-day back-to-back classes. We ask that you book with mindfulness & choose the class you most wish to attend & if there is space available the day of, you may book a second class. Move is a very small studio with minimal spaces available. This helps cultivate the atmosphere of community, ensures fairness for all members, & encourages everyone to fully engage in each class with intention & purpose. Triple back-to-back classes are not allowed for health & safety reasons.

Attending back-to-back heated classes

In addition to our Mindful Booking Policy, due to insurance and safety concerns, no member is permitted to attend back-to-back 1-hour infrared heated classes. This restriction is for the safety of our members and to protect the liability of the studio and teachers.

3. Refunds

  a. All fees & prices for classes, memberships, workshops, & merchandise are subject to change without notice.

  b. Payments for classes, memberships, & merchandise are non-refundable.

  c. Workshops or special events are non-refundable & transferrable once.

 

4. Ending a Membership. This applies to recurring plans only. After your 4-month commitment period, if you need to cancel your membership, we require 30 days written notice via email. Memberships will be automatically renewed if notice is not given.

 

5. Expiration

   a. Single-class purchases expire 1 month from the date of purchase.

   b. 5/10 class plan purchases expire 6 months from the date of purchase. 

   c. 1-year pre-paid memberships expire 1 year from purchase

   d. Monthly recurring plans do not expire & will renew unless a cancellation email is received.

 

6. Code of Conduct

   a. Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards instructors, staff, & fellow participants.

 b. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated & may result in immediate termination with no refunds.

 

​7. Privacy & Data Protection

   a. Move collects personal information from participants for administration purposes only.

   b. Personal information will be handled under applicable privacy laws.

   c. Move reserves the right to produce & distribute images for marketing purposes.

 

Move reserves the right to amend these policies at any time.
